LIVING IN A DIGITAL OBLIVION
Live tracks and demos from 2012-15

After Fizzing there came a time of wanting and needing to write 1) a follow up 2) things that could be played 'live' (or as live as a selection of Game Boys, a NES, some other DIY bits and bobs can be played)
Over the next few years a setup of sorts emerged, and new tracks started forming, intended for the stage as much as the studio.

Then an album started forming around those tracks. But.

It never quite worked. Times moved, other projects occured. Lives had to be rebuilt in new places.

These tracks just became little bits of data in backups which are now in backups of those backups.

A few of these tracks snuck out here and there, but this was the intended order of things.

After the 10 tracks, there are two bonus tracks that are covers! I don't do many covers, but you can find a chiptune version of Kate Bush's Hounds of Love, which was done for Jo Whitby's Kate Bush tribute night, and a cover of one of my favourite songs, I'm Not Talking, by A.C. Newman.

Remastered slightly in 2021 for balance, otherwise the mixes are as raw as they come.

I hope you enjoy this little flashback.

about

Alone Bristol, UK

Retro games consoles filtered through digital delays and drum machines. Layered with guitars and some distortion. Alone paints a post-something slice of hazy danceable sounds pulled from late night memories of virtual adventures.
