Good Morning World

about

Ahhh. The centerpiece of the album. 'Good Morning World' was one of those moments when all those little ideas that I had sort of clicked into place. The main idea being that all guitars needed about 18 overdubs drenched in delay. Aside from the drums, everything was built from guitar and bass samples speed up, slowed down or just played again and again. Everything sewn together into one epic sort of track. I think this was only a year or so (maybe less) after I discovered Mogwai and the whole post-rock genre. Before then the only similar thing I had listened too was Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile and I maaaay have been inspired by The Day The World Went Away... a little... So yes. Someone even made a Youtube video of nice pictures to go with it (which I was only tipped off to in 2010...) so I'm happy with it. Does what is says on the tin if you will.

about

Alone Bristol, UK

Retro games consoles filtered through digital delays and drum machines. Layered with guitars and some distortion. Alone paints a post-something slice of hazy danceable sounds pulled from late night memories of virtual adventures.
