Dashboard Jesus

from Nothing Totally Changes by Alone

about

They say an album needs to flow, from highs to lows (but no like, bad lows...) and you know, have some pace. At the time I had noticed my dad was listening to a lot of dance music, namely Faithless. This is my little homage to that. The typical house music build, release, break, big drums, the lot. Of course I couldn't help myself and shoved a load of guitars in there, cut em up, put a load of delay on them, that's how I roll. The title comes from... well.. its fairly obvious, a little dashboard Buddy Christ figure my sister gave me for Christmas. I still have him looking over me today. Only not in my car.

about

Alone Bristol, UK

Retro games consoles filtered through digital delays and drum machines. Layered with guitars and some distortion. Alone paints a post-something slice of hazy danceable sounds pulled from late night memories of virtual adventures.
